Pasadena Villa Florida, or The Villa Orlando, is a residential psychiatric treatment center in Florida that serves individuals with clinically complex thought, mood, and autism spectrum disorders in an urban environment. We provide comprehensive, individualized care with a focus on preparing clients for life after treatment.

What We Treat

At Pasadena Villa Florida, we treat a wide range of mental illnesses. Our main goal is to reintegrate clients into normal life, as many struggling with mental disorders experience significant isolation and dysfunction.

Many clients that come to us have been through outpatient programs, only to return to old habits and behaviors once they return home. As such, our Florida psychiatric residential treatment center provides the attention they need to improve their lives.

Some of the many conditions we treat include:

  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders
  • Psychosis
  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Co-occurring substance use disorder

All clients receive a customized treatment plan based on their diagnoses, personality, interests, and background. There are no one-size-fits-all plans at The Villa Orlando.

Our Methods

Everything we do at Pasadena Villa Florida revolves around our Social Integration Model. In short, we expose our residents to relevant, real-life situations and guide them in real time. For example, for a client with an anxiety disorder, our professionals may go with her to face her fear of public transportation. We also allow residents to continue working or going to school during treatment to allow for real-time applications of learned skills.

While talking over situations in individual and group therapy certainly has its place, we find that clients learn more when actually navigating experiences themselves. The ultimate goal of this Social Integration Model is to ensure our residents are ready to transition to life after treatment. Often, people are unsure of how to translate the skills learned in treatment into their daily lives. We believe that our approach bridges that gap.

In addition to the Social Integration Model, we provide a number of evidence-based methods for a truly diverse and fulfilling experience. Some of these offerings include:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy
  • Life skills training that includes budgeting, cooking, and career and academic coaching
  • Creative crafts and art therapy for nonverbal expression
  • Therapy groups with topics such as coping skills, codependency, and interpersonal skills
  • Recreational therapy that includes activities such as team sports, bowling, and rock climbing

Levels of Care

The Villa Orlando offers both on-site and off-site treatment for mental disorders. While we do allow clients to begin treatment at any level, it is highly recommended to start with Intensive Residential Treatment and move through our continuum of care from there.

On-Site Options

Pasadena Villa Florida offers two residential treatment options. Intensive Residential Treatment is, of course, the most intensive. It provides around-the-clock staffing and the full spectrum of comprehensive treatment methods.

Our Community-Based Residential Treatment takes place in gender-specific group homes. While there is less supervision with this option, residents still have access to on-call support staff day or night.

Off-Site Options

Our Day Treatment program is more intensive than most outpatient options. Therapeutic programming takes place seven days a week while clients live in their own housing.

The Supported Housing program is another step-down, where clients have access to programs a few times a week while living on their own. Of course, The Villa Orlando is always happy to help clients find suitable living space.
