Selah House Indiana is the only licensed inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization program (PHP) eating disorder treatment center in the state of Indiana. We provide comprehensive and compassionate care for women and teenage girls struggling with eating disorders. At Selah House, we believe that while the journey to recovery may be difficult, it is always worth it in the end.

The Selah House Approach

At Selah House Indiana, we provide holistic treatment in a home-like setting. We believe that healing happens in places where women feel safe and comfortable. Our expert staff crafts individualized treatment plans for each client so that no one’s needs go unmet.

Components of Care

To guide our treatment plans, we have three tenets of care at Selah House Indiana. Together, they provide complete care that guides our clients to recovery. It’s why we have the best women’s eating disorder treatment Indiana has to offer.

Medical Care

As the only licensed inpatient treatment center for eating disorders in Indiana, Selah House provides round-the-clock medical and psychiatric care. We understand the serious health issues that can arise due to eating disorders and are prepared for any medical issue. Our medical and clinical teams also closely coordinate to ensure that no detail falls through the cracks.

Nutritional Care

We strongly believe that all foods can fit into a nationally-sound meal plan when including balance, variety, and moderation. At Selah House, women learn about nutrition and meal planning to support recovery. Our intuitive eating approach helps women understand hunger cues and appropriate portion sizes. We also offer family-style meals, which allow women to practice the social aspects of eating.

Spiritual Care

As a part of our holistic approach, we strongly promote spiritual growth during treatment. While the staff at Selah House Indiana is mostly Christian, women of a variety of faiths have felt safe and supported in our programs. There’s no pressure to believe a certain way, only encouragement to build upon a relationship with God.

Levels of Care

We believe a step-down process is best for easing clients into independence from the safety and structure of treatment. For this reason, we offer multiple levels of care that women can move through at their own pace. These programs include:

  • Inpatient care
  • Residential care
  • Partial hospitalization program
  • Aftercare

Our inpatient program offers the most intensive care of all our programs. Designed for clients that require medical stabilization, weight restoration and psychiatric support, this program provides access to medical care 24-hours a day. Unlike a hospital, clients are not restricted to their beds but are free to enjoy the home and community.

The residential program is a step down from inpatient treatment. It provides the structure and evidence-based methods necessary to process underlying issues to their eating disorders. In this program, women learn and practice new skills surrounding eating and nutrition to redefine their relationship with food. They also form bonds with others in the program that carry them through treatment and into recovery.

The last step in our treatment path is our partial hospitalization program (PHP). This less intense treatment regimen offers clients more flexibility and freedom. Unlike many other programs, we offer daily treatment with lodging. This level of care helps prepare our clients to walk in the freedom from their eating disorder after treatment.
